Is insurance included?

Because anything can happen, Hertz Trois Soleils includes Basic Multi-risk cover in all its contracts. With this package, you benefit from :

  • Hertz Trois Soleils tele-assistance for cell equipment on 04 75 82 02 02
  • airframe manufacturer's warranty
  • carrier manufacturer's warranty
  • maximum liability in the event of a claim (€2,500)

For maximum peace of mind when travelling, consider taking out the optional Multi-risk Medium or Premium additional cover. Depending on the package, this includes: a partial excess buy-back, glass breakage insurance, 24/7 repatriation assistance and puncture insurance. Find out more on our Coverages and assistance page.

What coverages/insurance do you offer with your rental?

To guarantee you maximum security and peace of mind when renting a motorhome, Hertz Trois Soleils offers you the following coverages:

  • Cancellation / Postponement coverage at €12 / day
  • Multi-risk Coverages
    • BASIC Warranty offered by default
    • MEDIUM Warranty at €29 / day, up to a maximum of €390
    • PREMIUM Warranty at €45 / day up to a maximum of €590

I have taken out Medium or Premium multi-risk coverages, how much will my deposit be?

The deposit will always be €2,500, regardless of the level of cover taken out. However, the excess will be €1,600 with Medium multi-risk coverage and €990 with Premium multi-risk coverage.

Can I add Cancellation / Postponement Coverage after I have made my booking?

This option can only be taken out at the time of booking. If you have not taken it out when booking, you will not be able to add it.

Can I change my level of cover before departure?

You can upgrade to the Medium or Premium coverages using your personal online space up to 72 hours before your departure.
Within 72 hours of your departure, you will need to contact central booking, charges will apply for any last minute changes.

I have a reservation. What happens if I want to cancel it?

With the Cancellation / Postponement Coverage

  • You can cancel up to 24 hours before departure under the terms of the guarantee.
  • More than 30 days before departure: Cancellation without justification, refund of the sums paid (excluding the cost of the guarantee).
  • Less than 30 days before departure: Cancellation with supporting documents (medical, professional, etc.), possibility of postponing your booking.
  • No-shows on the day of departure: no refund.

Without the Cancellation / Postponement Coverage

  • More than 30 days before departure: 30% of the rental amount is due.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the rental amount is due, no refund possible.
  • No-shows on the day of departure: no refund.

Cancellation must be made by registered letter. Cancellation also entails cancellation of optional equipment (bedding kits, crockery).

For greater flexibility, take out the cancellation/deferment guarantee when you book.

I can't make it on the day of departure and have to cancel my trip. Can I get a partial refund?

If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of departure, or in the event of a no-show on the day of departure, the amount of your contract will be retained by Hertz Trois Soleils.

What is deductible buyback and how can you take advantage of it?

Deductible buyback allows you to reduce the amounts you are liable for in case of a claim (accident, theft, or glass breakage) during your rental.

 

At Hertz Trois Soleils, all rentals include the Basic coverage by default, with the following deductibles:

  • Residual deductible: €2,500
  • Broken glass deductible: €2,500

 

To lower these amounts, you can subscribe to one of our Multi-risk Coverages packages, which offer partial or full deductible buyback depending on the chosen level:

 

🔹 Medium Multi-risk Coverage

  • Residual deductible reduced to €1,600
  • Broken glass deductible reduced to €600

 

🔹 Premium Multi-risk Coverage

  • Residual deductible reduced to €990
  • Broken glass deductible reduced to €0

 

👉 In addition to deductible buyback, these coverages include extra assistance services: Assistance and Repatriation 7d/7 24h/24 (included in both levels), and Puncture Insurance, which is exclusive to the Premium Multi-risk Coverage.

 

💡 The Medium and Premium Multi-risk Coverages can be selected when booking online or added later via your customer account, up to 3 days before departure.

Why choose the Cancellation / Postponement Coverage?

The Cancellation / Postponement Coverage gives you peace of mind in the face of the unexpected. For €12 per rental day, it allows you, in case of an unforeseen circumstance, either to receive a refund of the amounts already paid (excluding the cost of the protection) or to postpone your rental free of charge, up to one year after the original departure date.

 

🕒 More than 30 days before departure:
You can request a cancellation or postponement without having to provide a specific reason, subject to the general exclusions.

 

🕒 Less than 30 days before departure:
The protection applies in the event of serious and unforeseen incidents (illness, accident, death, change in approved leave, administrative summons…), and must be supported by official documentation.

 

This option must be taken out at the time of booking and remains valid up to the day before departure. It is non-refundable.
