I've exceeded the fixed mileage stipulated in my rental contract. What should I do?
If you have exceeded the fixed mileage of your contract, you will be charged €0.55 per additional kilometre. After your return, you will receive an e-mail from Hertz Trois Soleils with a secure payment link for the amount of the additional kilometres.
Who should be contacted first in the event of damage?
In the event of damage, you must inform us as soon as possible by calling +33 475 820 202 Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. or by email reserv@trois-soleils.com, giving your name, booking number and explaining the damage suffered or caused.
How do I set up the security deposit?
A security deposit of €2,500 must be paid before you pick up your motorhome (article 6.5 of our general rental conditions). We use the Swikly service, which allows you to deposit your security deposit simply by making an imprint of your bank card. About ten days before your departure, you will receive an email inviting you to make your "SWIK". The SWIK is not a payment. You will not be debited for the amount requested, but you authorise this debit in the event of a problem, in which case Swikly will be our mediator.
The deposit can also be paid by bank transfer or credit card, but deposit cheques are not accepted.
Do I have to subscribe to an insurance for my motorhome?
Because anything can happen, Hertz Trois Soleils includes Basic Comprehensive cover in all its contracts. With this package, you benefit from :
- Hertz Trois Soleils tele-assistance for cell equipment on +33 475 820 202
- airframe manufacturer's warranty
- carrier manufacturer's warranty
- maximum liability in the event of a claim (€2,500)
For maximum peace of mind when travelling, remember to take out the optional additional Multi-risk Medium or Premium cover. Is it possible to hire a GPS?
Most of our vehicles are supplied without GPS. However, some vehicles may already be equipped with GPS, but this is not included in your contract. Our partner carampas offers GPS in its application.
How do I pay my balance?
No later than 30 days before your departure date, simply log on to your personal space to pay your balance online. You will receive an e-mail reminder a few days before.
What is the interior equipment?
All our rental vehicles are equipped with:
- fridge, gas hob and sink,
- WC and shower
- a forced-air heating system that also works when the vehicle is stationary
- air conditioning for the driver's cab when in use
The accessories needed for camping in France will be provided: electric extension lead + an adapter tip, water supply hose + connector, gas bottle, chemical toilet cleaner.
You'll also find a safety triangle + fluorescent waistcoat kit and a puncture-proof kit.
As an option, we can offer you:
- bedding kits
- kitchen/dishware
- kits child seats (5-point harness) compatible with seat belts

What should I do in the event of damage caused by third parties?
If you are involved in a fender-bender or an accident, you must complete an accident report with the other driver. You will need to send us this report, along with photos of the damage caused to the vehicle.
We will notify your departure agency, and on your return your deposit will be retained, after which an estimate for repairing the vehicle will be sent to you. Your deposit will be released on receipt of your payment.
NB: without an identified third party, you are considered responsible for the damage.
How do I obtain an invoice?
If you need an invoice when you return from your rental, you can send us a request by e-mail to contact@trois-soleils.com, stating your name and booking number.
